Holiday Spiced Wine

This is a delicious, aromatic and cozy drink that is perfect to enjoy with family and friends over the holiday season.  It will warm your soul and spice up your party.  Enjoy!

Ingredients:
4 cups red wine (Cab, Shiraz or Pinot Noir)
2 cups apple cider (I recommend Zeigler's)
2 tablespoons honey
2 tablespoons your favorite mulling spices

PS- if you want to make your own mulling spices you can use 4 cardamom pods, 3 cinnamon sticks, 5 whole cloves, 6 whole allspice

Instructions:
Add all ingredients to a pot and stir well while bringing to a boil.  Reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes and serve using a strainer.  Alternatively, I just purchased a "floating mulling spice ball" from Williams Sonoma which I highly recommend (see photo below).  Just place your loose spices into the ball and place into the pot containing the wine/cider bath.  It floats while infusing your holiday beverage with the delicious spices.  You can also use this handy and versatile kitchen tool for loose tea or spiced cider.

It looks like a delicious drink. I am going to try this one at home. My friends love wine and I am pretty sure that they will love this new kind of drink with a twist as well. liquor online
