10 Minute Broccoli Rabe with Edge

Have 10 minutes?  Try this nutrient-rich broccoli rabe dish!  Broccoli rabe is one of the most under-rated veggies ever.  Not only is it super yummy, it is also packed with calcium, vitamin K, folate and antioxidants.  So next time you're at the store, pick some up- you will not regret trying this delicious, heart-healthy, cancer-fighting vegetable!

1 bunch broccoli rabe
Garlic salt to taste (I use Grand Garlic Salt from the Savory Spice Shop)
Red hot pepper flakes to taste
3-4 tablespoons olive oil

Preheat oven to 425.  First cut off and discard about 1 inch from each stem end of broccoli rabe.  Next, cut each broccoli rabe in half, wash, dry (I spin dry in a salad spinner) and place into a Pyrex dish.  Toss with olive oil, garlic salt and pepper flakes and pop into oven for exactly 10 minutes.
